The Proof of Longevity is in Smithfield

We dropped into a manufacturer in Smithfield NSW recently, to check one of our very first LED high bay installations still in action.

Back in 2014, we made the switch from induction technology to LED for high bay lights – but only after finding a manufacturing partner that met our standards for performance, component quality, and long-term reliability. Quality mattered more than being first.

Fast forward nearly 12 years from this Jun-2014 project using our original Compact High Bay range:
— Over 49,000 operating hours (Min 16hrs/day, 5 days/week)
— Only a handful of replacements needed in the last 3 years – more than 85% of the original fittings still in service
— Light levels still meeting requirements

Some of our newer models have actually now had longer operating hours than this site. In one 24×7 environment we have now exceeded 70,000 hours real world operation with both batten LED’s as well as high bays.

But this 2014 install proves the point:
Quality lighting isn’t a cost – it’s an investment that keeps paying back.
